Jack Smith to testify publicly before House Judiciary Committee on January 22: Chairman

Former special prosecutor Jack Smith to testify in public later this month before the GOP-led House Judiciary Committee, Chairman Jim Jordan announced Monday night.

Smith will testify on January 22 at 10 a.m. ET, according to Jordan, a month after his closed-door testimony before the committee.

According to a transcript and video of Smith’s hour-long Dec. 17 deposition released by the committee late last month, Smith told lawmakers that President Donald Trump engaged in a “criminal scheme” to overturn the 2020 election.
