Powerball jackpot rises to $930 million in Wednesday night drawing

The Powerball jackpot has grown to $930 million, a cash value of $429 million, for Wednesday night’s drawing.

This is the seventh largest prize in the history of the game, according to Powerball. The largest jackpot ever was $2.04 billion, won on November 7, 2022.

The Powerball jackpot was last won on September 6 with two tickets in Missouri and Texas splitting a $1.787 million prize. There have been 40 consecutive draws without victories.

The Powerball jackpot was last hit Monday night, when no tickets matched the numbers on the white ball (8, 32, 52, 56, 64) and the red Powerball 23.

If a player wins on Wednesday night, they will have the option to choose between annual payments worth an estimated $930 million or an immediate lump sum payment of $429 million.

According to Powerball, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

The drawing will take place on Wednesday shortly before 11 pm ET at the Florida Lottery drawing studio in Tallahassee.

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play.
