Patel says that the FBI investigates the “possibility of accomplices” in Kirk’s shooting

During the commemorative service of Charlie Kirk on Sunday, the director of the FBI, Kash Patel, published an update on the investigation of Kirk’s murder, saying that the FBI is “chasing each lead.”
Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested and accused of Kirk’s murder, but Patel said the FBI is investigating the “possibility of accomplices.”
“We Are meticulously research theories and questions, including the location from where the shot was taken, The Possibility of Accomplices, The Text Message Confession and Related Conversations, Discord Chats, The Angle of The Shot and Bullet Impact, How The Weapon Was Transported, Hand Gestures Observe as potential ‘signals’ near charlie at the time of His assassination, and visits to the alleged shootr’s residence in the hours and days leading up to Septern 10, 2025, “Patel said in an X publication.
Patel made similar statements for two days of camera supervision and the Senate last week.

The online messaging platform confirmed that Discord reported that approximately two hours before Robinson was arrested, he supposedly published messages to a small group of friends on the platform that said: “Hello guys, I have bad news for all of you … I went to UVU yesterday. I regret all this.”
Patel addressed Discord’s message during his hearing before the Senate Judicial Committee, saying that the FBI is investigating “anyone and all involved in that discord chat” with Robinson. Patel said there are “much more” than 20 people linked to Robinson in Discord, “and we are executing them to each … each.”
“There are a number of people who are currently being investigated and questioned, and a number still to investigate and interrogate, specific to that chat room. Therefore, we are very in our continuous research position,” Patel told the senators, and added that other people could be involved.
In its publication on Sunday, Patel said: “The entire FBI cries the loss of Charlie Kirk. We will not rest until justice is delivered, and our research on this murder will continue until each question is answered.”
Robinson was accused of numerous crimes on Tuesday, including aggravated murder, with prosecutors last week announcing his intention to seek the death penalty.
Robinson did not enter a plea on Tuesday. The judge said the Court would appoint a lawyer for him before his next appearance in court on September 29.
