Immigration Protests Live Updates: 700 Marines deployed in Los Angeles

California’s union leader, David Huerta, who was accused of a conspiracy to prevent an officer during a demonstration on the repression of immigration of President Donald Trump, was released on Monday from Federal Custody with a bail of $ 50,000.
Huerta is the president of International Service Employees Unión California, who represents thousands of janitors, security officers and other workers. The union said it was arrested on Friday while observing and documented police activity in an ice raid in Los Angeles.

His arrest has become a shout of meeting for members of the Union throughout the country and democratic politicians who had requested their release. The SEIU celebrated a great demonstration in downtown Los Angeles on Monday in support of Huerta. Manifestations were also planned in at least a dozen cities, from Boston to Denver.
