Erika Kirk, widow of the influential conservative Charlie Kirk, was appointed New CEO and president of the Board for Turning Point USA after her husband, the founder of the organization, was killed on September 10, the Board announced Thursday.

The Board “unanimously chosen” Erika Kirk, saying that “in previous discussions, Charlie told multiple executives that this is what he wanted in case of his death.”

The National Security Department has designated the Charlie Kirk memorial service as an event of level 1 evaluation of special events of level 1, which is “reserved for events of the highest national importance,” said an official of the department.
In addition to Erika Kirk, which was a frequent presence on the part of her husband in speaking public commitments and appearances, Charlie Kirk also leaves two children, a son who turned 1 in May and a daughter who turned 3 in August.
In her first public message from the death of her husband, Erika Kirk said: “No one will forget my husband’s name.”

The influential conservative was shot dead on September 10 while talking at an outdoor event at Utah Valley University in OREM, Utah.
After a two -day human hunt, Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested for allegedly shooting Charlie Kirk and accused Tuesday of a large number of crimes, including aggravated murder, and prosecutors announced the intention of looking for the death penalty.
He was also accused of discharge of a firearm that caused serious body injuries, obstruction of justice, two positions of witness manipulation and commission of violent crime in the presence of a child, announced on Tuesday the prosecutor of Utah County, Jeff Gray.

Robinson also made his first appearance in court on Tuesday. Your next audience is scheduled for September 29.
Before surrendering to the authorities, Robinson’s parents asked him why he committed this crime, which he allegedly said: “There is too bad and the guy. [Charlie Kirk] It extends too much hate, “according to loading documents.
The suspect also supposedly sent a text message to his room partner after the shooting that “had enough of this hatred.”
“You can negotiate a hatred,” reads one of the messages.
Exactly what Robinson supposedly referred to “hate” was not clear. The researchers noticed that Robinson’s mother told them that her son supposedly began to have a relationship with her roommate, who is making the transition, and had begun to bow to the left more politically, becoming “more oriented to rights rights”, but the document does not indicate the relevance of those rooms or if Kirk’s comments on those problems were a motivating factor.
Gray said he would let a judge determine whether the allegedly made statements constituted a confession. He declined to comment if Robinson has been cooperating or spoken to researchers.

The director of the FBI, Kash Patel, said that the FBI is investigating “anyone and all” involved in a Chat in Discord, a guinea chat messenger platform, where the suspect sent messages two hours before they stopped, admitting that he triggered the influential conservative.
“Hello guys, I have bad news for everyone … I went in Uvu yesterday. I’m sorry for all this,” reads one of the messages.
Patel said there are “much more” than 20 people linked to Robinson in Discord and that the FBI is “executing them all. He added that a” number of people is currently being investigated. “
The students of the University of Utah Valley, where the shooting occurred, returned to the campus on Wednesday, a week after the influential conservative was killed.
