CBO estimates that Trump’s invoice could add $ 2.4T to the deficit, leave 11 million without medical insurance

The “Law of a Big Big Beautiful bill”, a massive tax and immigration bill to finance much of the agenda of President Donald Trump, could add $ 2.4 billion to the deficit during the next decade, according to a new analysis on Wednesday of the budget office of the non -partisan Congress.
The CBO published updated estimates about legislation as Focus addresses the Senate, where a handful of Republican members express their concern about the deficit and changes in Medicaid.
The budget office is projecting 10.9 million more people will not be safe in 2034 due to changes in medical care.
The Budget Office also estimates that the invoice will reduce taxes by $ 3.7 billion and cut expenses in $ 1.2 billion. The CBO has not yet completed an analysis of the macroeconomic effects of the bill.
The White House preventively defended the bill just before the launch of the CBO, with the deputy director of Cabinet Stephen Miller accusing the non -partisan office of being “left -handed” and promoting legislation as a “draft law of dreams.”

The leader of the majority of the House of Representatives, Steve Scalise, criticized the CBO report at a press conference with republican leadership on Wednesday morning, which does not recognize potential economic growth, which will do in a subsequent and separate estimate.
“I understand that we have to play with the referee’s rules, but the referee has been wrong. We have a referee who tries to say goodbye to our quarterback,” Scalise said.
The bill approved the Chamber little in May, but now some members of the Republican party are pointing out their approval stamp. Georgia’s representative, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a firm Trump’s Ally, wrote in a publication on social networks that she was not aware of a provision related to the AI regulations and that she would have voted against the bill if she had known that she was included. Greene asked that the measure be eliminated by the Senate.
Later, on Wednesday, President Trump will meet with the Senate Finance Committee at the White House in his impulse for Megabill to pass before July 4.
The president lashed out at the Republican senators who threaten to complicate his way forward, including Kentucky Senator Rand Paul.
