The Doj finished the investigation of ‘border tsar’ Tom Homan for allegedly accepting $ 50k in the FBI sting: Fuentes

The Department of Justice closed an investigation that involved the “border tsar” of President Donald Trump, Tom Homan, in which he had allegedly registered accepting the FBI agents who go through business executives, they told ABC News in the matter.

Operation Sting, which was derived from a broader public corruption investigation that initially did not go to Homin, led the agents to a meeting in which they recorded Homin supposedly accepting a bag containing $ 50,000 in cash while they agreed to help men obtain government contracts in the Trump event won the 2024 elections, the sources said.

The investigation, initiated during the Biden administration, was delivered to the Trump administration. The authorities informed the leadership of the Department of Justice in this regard in the early days of Trump’s presidency as part of their continuous efforts to examine personnel who had been designated for senior leadership in their administration, sources said.

The investigators at that time were still working to determine if Homin would have continued to organize the government contracts, since some in the Department of Justice questioned the legal viability of the positions in a scenario in which Homin had proposed the government’s contract when Trump’s electoral victory was not yet guaranteed, according to the sources.

The investigation, first informed by MSNBC and The New York TimesIt began in 2024 and was based on the Western District of Texas.

The Homan meeting was registered by the undercover agents and the investigation was extended in the Trump administration, where internal discussions were held on whether the charges were justified before the Department of Justice and the FBI closed it, the familiar sources with the matter told ABC News.

The closure of the investigation, which was formalized in the early days of the Trump administration, has expressed concerns among current and previous officials about the Trump administration by further politicizing the Department of Justice by protecting the high profile officials from the legal scrutiny.

The requests for ABC comments from the Department of Justice, the FBI and the White House did not receive an answer. Homan also immediately responded to a request for ABC News comments.

However, in a statement to ABC News, the director of the FBI, Kash Patel, and the attached attorney general Blanche confirmed the investigation and said that “he underwent a complete review of the FBI agents and the prosecutors of the Department of Justice. They found no credible evidence of any criminal offense.”

“Department’s resources must remain focused on real threats to the American people, not foundation without foundation. As a result, the investigation has closed,” Patel and Blanche said in their statement to ABC News.

The attached press secretary of the White House, Abigail Jackson, criticized the investigation as a “blatant political investigation, which did not find evidence of illegal activity, [and] It is another example of how the Biden Department of Justice was using its resources to attack President Trump’s allies instead of investigating real criminals and the millions of illegal foreigners that flooded our country. “

Jackson also said that Homan has not been involved in any decision of the White House to grant government contracts.

“He is an officer of the Life career and public servant who is doing a phenomenal job on behalf of President Trump and the country,” Jackson added.
