Armed man arrested in the stadium ahead of Charlie Kirk Memorial in Arizona: officials

A man was arrested and accused after he allegedly passed by an agent of the law and brought a weapon to the stadium where the Charlie Kirk commemorative service will take place on Sunday, according to the authorities.
Joshua Runkles, 42, has been reserved for charges of taking a weapon to a forbidden place and impersonating a police officer, according to the Arizona Public Security Department.

Runkles was arrested at State Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, after showing “suspicious behavior,” according to Arizona DPS.
Runkles is not an agent of the law, according to DPS. He was arrested by the DPS and hired in the Maricopa County prison.

“An investigation is ongoing to determine its intention and purpose in the stadium. Since then, Runkles has been released on bail,” according to Arizona DPS.
The United States Secret Service said he is investigating in coordination with the Local Police, an “individual who was observed that he exhibited suspicious behavior” at the State Farm stadium.

The individual was approached by secret service agents and said during the meeting that he was a member of the Police and that he was armed, said a spokesman for the Secret Service to ABC News.
This individual was not a member of the authorized police who worked at the event and an investigation is ongoing why he was there, said the spokesman.
