Federal agencies are tracking security threats for Charlie Kirk funeral

The federal law enforcement agencies, a new evaluation published on Thursday, said they are “tracing several threats of unknown credibility” against people who plan to attend the Memorial Charlie Kirk on Sunday in Glendale, Arizona.
These people include President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and members of the Kirk family, according to the report.
“Violent Extremists and affiliated lone offenders may view the memorial service or related events attractive attack targets due to the attendance of these individuals, other senior us Government Officials, State and local Government Officials, and Political Activists and Due To Major International Media Attention,” The Memo Issued by Agencies Including the FBI, Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS), Secret Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
The memorandum was distributed to the agencies of the law and government agencies and obtained ABC News.
The report occurs when the DHS, before Thursday, designated the funeral as a level 1 event of special events evaluation (SEAR), said a DHS official to ABC News.
The funeral will have the same level of security as the Super Bowl or the Boston marathon.
Federal agencies report that they have no information to suggest that there is a verified and credible plot against the event. However, the agencies indicate unseested threats that are collecting, as well as recent episodes of political violence and the fact that there have been threats towards political objectives in Arizona.

Lonely criminals, according to the document, remain the main threat, but there are also concerns about national extremists and foreign terrorist organizations.
William Mack, the special agent of the Secret Service in charge of the Phoenix field office, said in a statement that the secret service has been designated as the federal coordinator for the funeral.
“Our teams are already on the ground in Phoenix and Glendale, working together with state, local and federal partners,” Mack said. “Together, we are totally committed to ensuring that these solemn events receive comprehensive protection and support they require.”
Some of those local police officers include officers of the Glendale Police Department, Arizona.
The department is sailing for a greater security threat amid the expectations of a massive crowd in Charlie Kirk’s commemorative service on Sunday.
“We will not surprise us if more than 100,000 people appear,” said Jose Santiago, public information officer of the Glendale Police Department.
He says that people travel from all over the country and begin to place the service in order of arrival before 2 in the morning on Sunday, if not before. The parking lot opens at 7:00 am, local time. Camp in the area will not be allowed.
“The officers will be anywhere that the eye can see, and in places it cannot,” Santiago said, referring to airplanes, many air drones and listed helicopters.
The Department of Public Security and Secret Service will execute the show within the State Stadium.
Derek Mayer, the former special assistant agent in charge of the Chicago Field Office of the Secret Service, which supervised the large -scale events, told ABC News that the designation allows a “general government approach.”
“The DHS regularly declares events throughout the country as a SEAR level to guarantee the security of those who attend,” said Mayer, now director of Security and Vice President of Executive Protection in P4.
“This designation allows an ‘entire government’ approach, which means that many different local and federal agencies will provide resources and labor to guarantee additional security measures. With President Trump and many other high -profile people who are expected to assist, together with the amount of public care focused on the funeral, it makes sense that DHS to declare this as a Sear event,” Mayer added.
The funeral is open to the public, but those who plan to assist that they are registered in Turning Point USA are asked.
