The judge prevents Trump administrator from retaining funds to 34 cities and counties on ‘sanctuary’ policies

A federal judge arrested the efforts of the Trump administration to retain funds for subsidies from cities and counties of “sanctuary” for not cooperating with the application of immigration.

The 15 -page order by Judge William Orrick grants a preliminary judicial order in the administration’s effort to retain funds and expands the number of cities from which federal funds cannot be retained due to its state of “sanctuary” for undocumented immigrants.

The Trump Administration has tried to eliminate subsidies for housing and urban development (HUD) of cities due to its lack of cooperation with immigration authorities.

More than 30 cities from Albuquerque to Boston were under the ruling, which is equivalent to hundreds of millions of dollars in subsidies.

The Trump administration has increased its efforts to have cooperated the so -called “sanctuary cities” with the federal government.

The Department of Justice in recent months has presented several legal challenges in several cities and states, including New York City, the state of New York, Los Angeles, Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey, challenging policies that prevented immigration officials from arresting persons in or near the courts without an order signed by a judge.
