The driver hits pedestrians in the Liverpool Victory Parade: Police

A pilot hit the pedestrians in Liverpool on Monday, police said, since hundreds of thousands had gathered in a parade that celebrated the Liverpool Football Club winning the football title of the English Premier League.

The vehicle crashed with “several pedestrians in Water Street” just after 6 pm local time, said Merseyside police.

Police officers are on a cordon at the entrance of Water Street, at the scene of an incident, apart from a bus parade open for the victory of the Premier League title of Liverpool, in Liverpool, northwest of England, on May 26, 2025.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, described the incident as “shocking.”

“Liverpool scenes are terrible: my thoughts are with all the injured or affected,” Starmer said in a statement. “They keep me updated on developments and ask them to give the police the space they need to investigate.”
