3 dead, including the Police officer of the New York Police, at the Manhattan Shots Center: Fuentes

A man with body armor and with a high -power rifle shot and killed three people, including a police officer out of service who worked on security in downtown Manhattan, sources told ABC News.
The incident occurred just before 6:30 pm on Monday in an office building located in 345 Park Ave. and 52nd Street, the Fuentes said, which contain the headquarters of the Blackstone investment company and the National Football League, Fuentes said.
It is not clear if those companies, or some company in the building, were linked to the shooting.
After apparently locked on the 33rd floor, the suspect was found dead so it is believed to be a self -inflicted gunshot wound, the sources added.

The reason is currently under investigation, said FBI deputy director, Dan Bongino.

A witness within the office building of the city center at the time of the shooting detailed ABC News what it was in the scene when colleagues hid in closing, insecure of what was being developed.
“The only thing between the door and I was a turned chair,” Jessica Chen said about the initial moments of the blockade. “I sent a text message to my parents, I love them,” he continued.
“Nothing can describe that feeling,” Chen added.

Cen continued to say that he remembered having made active drills at school and said he often wondered what he would do in this type of stage. “It is unfortunate that all Americans can think this,” Chen said.
The mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, previously warned of residents that would avoid the area in the “active handle of shooters.”
The New York City Police Department also urged people to avoid the neighborhood of EAST 52nd Street between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue due to police activity.

The staff and agents of the FBI field office in New York responded “to provide support in the active crime scene in Manhattan,” Bongino said in X.
